Giving is the Best Strategy to Inviting Abundance

We have to give to get (or actually invite abundance)?

Well, yes… it’s something like that…

Ever notice in life …

that when people operate from a place of …

‘I’m not getting what I need out of this?’ …

often they’re not giving very much either?

That could be a reality check for some,

but I mean it in the kindest way,

because we have all done this at some point…

we do it with our relationships,

we do it with our work, whatever that may be…

and *sigh* we do it by accident sometimes.

…because many people have a hole in their hearts,

and they need it filled.

and sometimes that overriding need to feel good,

turns us into takers, or energy suckers … inadvertently, of course.

Until I reparented myself in my early twenties…

by reading Psycho-Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz,

and applying everything I read to my life,

I was busy looking for external things to make me feel good,

wanting to ‘receive’ more first more than I was willing to give …

until I got … a vicious cycle …

Whatever it was that I wanted …

my workday had to suit me perfectly,

my boyfriend had to do more …

(and what ‘more’ meant I didn’t even know,

I just knew I wanted it, lol, poor guy : )

it was a need to feel bigger (or more ‘loved’) by getting… something…

it didn’t work, when I read that book I started to figured out why.

and I became very good at giving …

without resistance, without receiving first…

At the time…

I didn’t even know this was my door to Inviting Abundance into my life.

…and I’ll share this,

the very best way to fill your own heart space is to give…

in love and personal relationships,

in work or running your own business,

and in general,

because we all are SOO much more than we often think we are…

and we all have so much more to give than we usually do give freely,

and the irony is …

when you give it freely; love, information, advice, …

it comes back to you in so many big ways…

In achieving long term sustainable success…

In all areas of life …

…and when you give away info to help someone solve a problem,

well, then you do one more great thing,

you help and uplift another …

AND usually, that person wants to give to another…

and the cycle of giving and receiving is in full effect.

So every time you give, you get…capice?

Till next time, wishing you abundance,

Zen

I totally believe in the Law of Reciprocity Zen. You have named some simple things we can all give each day. I think to just give someone a smile is a gift. My husband always helps older people struggling with their grocery trolleys and it is amazing how it can make their day. Great message thanks Zen.

Thanks, Jenny…the law of reciprocity is so simple to apply, too. When you see good things and act, you will receive and see good things! XO, Zen

Thanks Zen, yep its mind blowing how little a gesture can make a difference, instant karma, the feel good factor, I love the exchange of energy between people, and not having to be concerned with expectations knowing were part of a bigger picture that has a system that works, if you invite it!

Exactly Chris, there’s a much larger picture in mind and we all can just contribute to each others well being and all would be well in the world. XO, Zen

You have wonderful insight Zen and a powerful message. I’ve always gone by my own statement of ‘be a giver first’ and that has opened me up to learning much more on just how important it really is. Appreciate you sharing your advice and strategy to inviting abundance. Great post!

This is such an important message and lesson to learn. I love each of the quotes you shared and I couldn’t agree more. We must give in order to receive. Provide value to get value back. There are so many principles that we need to live by each day!

Loved it Zen, thank you so much…I am reading the Power by Rhonda Byrne.. who also wrote the Secret.. she mentions in one of those how when you do something kind you don’t notice all the opportunities that open up for you.. that car park, that person being kind to you… you may not get it back from the same person you ‘gave’ to but you will get it back 🙂

I thought I had commented on your blog Zen.

I think I said something like it costs nothing to give a smile, a thank you, a helping hand. It is such a gift to give those simple things.

    Thanks Zen

Awesome post Zen. You have some very great “points to ponder”. I think it’s time for me to re-read Psycho-Cybernetics. It’s a great book and thanks for the reminder to go back and study it again. “It’s better to give than to receive” is two-fold…we give and we feel good about ourselves and we give and we receive more. Thanks for sharing!

Zen, Great post and quote. Jim Rohn once stood in front of an audience with a full glass of water and asked a question. He asked if the full glass could hold any more? The audience said, no way. Jim went on to explain that the glass could hold more, but you had to pour out some to get more. The giving experience allows us to grow and unlike the structure of the glass the human experience expands and grows so we can do even more.

Exactly, Earl … instead of hoarding our knowledge, love, *you name it* give it freely and it’ll serve you tenfold in spirit success if not in ‘material success and quite possibly you’ll get both, we grow and get more when we openly give, it’s a lovely law of nature. What a great post!

Reciprocity is key to building healthy communities and in creating abundant living. And I think that by cultivating enough energy and resources to be able to give more than what you could ever receive materially is the way to attract people perpetually….. now looking at it.

    Thanks again.
